In the sequel to Train to Busan (2016), Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula (2020) follows a soldier and his elite team as they battle hordes of zombies and find survivors in the post-apocalyptic wilderness of the Korean peninsula. Directed by Yeon Sang-ho, the film stars Gang Dong-Won, Lee Re, Lee Jung-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Kim Min-jae, just to name a few. YouTuber Zach Pope shares his review on the highly anticipated follow up film to Train to Busan.
Yeon is again able to direct a different type of film from the first one and break away from that first style and even its tone, but go for a more high octane action film that takes place in the same exact world while also still feeling and really much resembling this world that was built about in the first film.
A huge fan of the first film, YouTuber Zach is impressed and entertained by the different style of the film and how it is still able to tie in and incorporate aspects of the original story. He praises the film's ability to create a nice balance between featuring the plot themes of the survivor’s stories in addition to the intense and action-packed zombie battle scenes that he says are “edge of your seat entreating.”
Such a fun, riveting and engrossing movie that he can’t wait to watch again, says Zach, who rates this film an A-.
