In the Netflix documentary series, Down to Earth with Zac Efron (2020), the show follows actor Zac Efron and wellness expert Darin Olien as they travel to learn about healthy and sustainable ways of life from around the globe. YouTuber Justin from Justin Watches Movies shares his thoughts on the latest documentary showcasing the efforts made globally to create a more sustainable life on earth.
Every single episode, all eight episodes, I was interested right from the beginning.
An easy going, simple yet entertaining documentary, says Justin. The show presents itself and the information in an easy and digestible way and the YouTuber even compares the show to the Disney+ documentary series The World According to Jeff Goldblum (2019). It even gets Justin contemplating and thinking about being more mindful in his own daily life decisions and how it has an impact on society and the environment.
Zac Efron is very likeable in the series and it is clear he has a genuine curiosity to learn about these sustainability efforts, according to the YouTuber.
You could tell that he honestly has an interest in everything they are exploring. Like going to Paris to learn about the tap water system, or when he checks out London’s pollution reduction efforts … you can always tell that he’s actually curious about everything that he is learning.
Despite being an information heavy show, Justin feels the camaraderie and friendship between Zac and Darin give off a very “down to earth” and lighthearted vibe. You can tell they both have a great time discovering new foods, new techniques and methods to be more environmentally conscious.
They have really good chemistry, they have a lot of fun together … there is a lot of times where them two are just goofing off with each other.
A highly entertaining and informative show, says Justin. Season one is now streaming on Netflix.
