With almost 30 years in the making, Bill and Ted Face the Music, the third installment of the movie series follows Bill and Ted and their daughters as they travel through time to save the world. The film stars Keanu Reeves as Ted; Alex Winter as Bill; Samara Weaving as Thea (Bill’s daughter) and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Billie (Ted’s daughter). YouTuber Grace Randolph from the channel Beyond The Trailer shares her thoughts on the comedy/sci-fi film.
Solomon and Matheson deliver the best and most professional bill and ted movie yet. Perhaps because they themselves have matured; it has been 30 years.
Thoroughly enjoying the movie, Randolph believes that writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson did a great job with the script, noting that you don’t have to have seen the previous films in order to understand this latest installment to the Bill and Ted world. She goes on to praise the film's professionality which in turn made all the jokes land so well, “Bill and Ted ‘s time traveling antics, visiting their future selves are hilarious.”
The YouTuber also found that unlike the previous films where the premise revolves around Bill and Ted loving music, this film actually seemed to be more about the music:
I was very impressed with how the movie highlights the artistic spirit and how artists recognize and respect each other… and the importance of music producer … it shows that music producers are just as important at creating great music as singers, musicians, and songwriters.
The trailers for the film just did not do the film any justice and it was so much better with more surprises to look forward to, says Randolph.
Overall Bill and Ted Face the Music is an absolute delight, a real feel good movie which of course I think is perfect for right now.
