First Cut Reviews Bill & Ted Face The Music

They’re back! Bill & Ted Face the Music is the third installment of the franchise, directed by Dean Parisot, with returning actors Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter and newcomers Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine. With the help of their family and friends, will Bill and Ted be able to save the world again one last time? YouTubers Sabrina Ramirez and Robert Butler III from the channel First Cut, share their experiences watching the legendary duo do what they do best.

I enjoyed it, I thought it was really funny, I thought there were some great moments, some great heartwarming moments, a lot of funny comedic moments, and I think it paid homage to a lot of great people and eras of music and history … this one did it to a whole new level.

Both YouTubers make praises to exceptional writing in the film, making it seem very up to date and current with the current generation. The first two films definitely encapsulated pop culture in America of the late 80’s and 90’s and in turn, this film is able to re-imagine and reinvent the characters to represent modern times.

Because they have the same writers and a lot of the same ensemble, they still capture that magic from the first two films and they kind of amplify if to stay relevant to this generation.

In the current climate of society, this film really brings to light the need for unity, says the YouTubers. The film showcases music from different cultures, different generations and from different parts around the world coming together to save humanity; this element really resonates with the YouTubers who feel it’s the uplifting spirit needed in 2020.

We actually are getting a taste of all cultures being united in this song. And giving their daughters this major role kind of passes the mantel off to a new generation and it really shows that we are stronger together.
